Real Estate Investing?

My fiance and I are looking into real estate investing despite the market right now.. We are mainly wanting to do business as a company (LLC) that gets private grants to purchase foreclosed properties outright and fix them up. Then possibly re-sell them using owner finance if we can’t sell right away. Or possibly holding onto them for rental/lease income. With prices the way they are, is it smart to try and buy and fix up these properties as long as we can purchase them outright and not have a monthly mortgage? We’ve already found a grant writer to get us grant money.. Please advise.. Thanks..

It is what people do, it is also how we got in this mess. LLC’s flipping properties. All that being said the market is a buyers market. If you are using a grant then you don’t have the loan overhead so you can rent for the market value.
